About me
My name is Nadia Yamini, and I am a Birth and Postpartum doula. I've been a doula for over 3 years now, and have supported 35+ families in their perinatal journeys. I trained with reputable organizations (DONA, IDI) to become a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, as well as a Certified Lactation Support Counselor (CLSC). Born and raised in Austin, I grew up swimming, riding horses and playing music. I still do those things in my free time, as well as playing with my two dogs and performing with my band. I love to paint and write, often drawing inspiration from my time as a birthworker.
My mission as a birthworker is to help birthing people transition from passive observers of birth to sovereigns of their births and bodies.
What is a doula?
doula ~ a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to birthing people during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum
“To me, mother means more than simply ‘the one who gives birth’. I use the word mother to describe anyone who creates, who nurtures, and who exists in liminal spaces, carrying light and dark inside them.”
Prenatal support, birth support, postpartum support, lactation counseling, newborn care and more.
